Sake, the actual CEO

Sake has been our beloved companion since 2014, when she joined the Silberstein family as a tiny, wide-eyed, fluffy, plush puppy, descended of Japanese royalty. What started as a pet quickly became something more — an indispensable member of the family. She has been with us through every chapter, every move, and every adventure since. Over the years, she has joined us on countless Zen Wine Tours explorations across the Napa Valley, Sonoma, and beyond. At this point, the valley knows her by name.

She is sweet, gentle, and deeply loving — the kind of dog who will find you, make eye contact, and silently demand that you scratch behind her ears. Or her belly. Or really anywhere, if she is being honest. She holds the undisputed title of Queen of the Silberstein household, and she knows it.

Her favorite things in life, aside from belly rubs and ear scratches, are a yummy piece of cheese — and on very special occasions — prime rib, or maybe some king crab. She has impeccable taste, as her status commands.

On tour days, Sake rides along with the group in the back of the Escalade or claims the co-pilot seat — entirely your call. At wineries that welcome dogs on property, she joins the experience and has a remarkable gift for making everyone feel instantly at ease. Guests who arrive as strangers to her tend to leave as friends.
